Use and heating
Space heating, hot water and operational uses have different consumption patterns. We consider which systems and supply points are within scope and who is responsible for procurement.
Gas procurement for properties
NeoBid supports owners, asset managers, property managers and occupiers with gas procurement. Together, we bring heating demand, contract terms and planned portfolio changes into a suitable tender.
01 / GAS PROCUREMENT
A gas tender requires more than last year’s consumption. Building use, weather and changes to properties determine the volumes needed in future.

Space heating, hot water and operational uses have different consumption patterns. We consider which systems and supply points are within scope and who is responsible for procurement.
Heating demand is concentrated in the colder months. Several years of bills and available consumption profiles help put unusually warm or cold years into context. Known exceptional effects are considered in planning.
Refurbishment, vacancy, disposals or a change in heating system can affect gas demand. Planned dates and volume changes should be included in the tender from the outset.

The documents you already have are enough to get started. Together, we identify any missing information needed to obtain comparable offers.
A portfolio overview showing properties, supply addresses and contracting parties, together with available market location IDs and meter assignments. Where several owners are involved, we also clarify responsibilities and authorisation.
Annual gas bills and the latest available bills for each supply point, contract end dates and notice periods. Where possible, provide consumption in kilowatt-hours; for figures in cubic metres, include the corresponding bill.
Available consumption profiles and information about vacancy, changes of use and heating system modifications. If your property managers is to provide data, we agree the contacts and handover process.

We evaluate the offers with you in the NeoBid Energy Platform . Alongside price, we consider contract terms and practical delivery. You decide which supplier to appoint.
Which costs are included in the offer and which are passed on separately? Energy prices, network charges, taxes and other components must be clearly distinguished when comparing offers. A fixed price applies only to the agreed components.
How does the contract handle higher or lower consumption? We assess the proposed volume provisions against your demand forecast, including planned additions and removals of supply points.
Does the commitment fit planned disposals, refurbishment or a different heating system? Supply start dates, contract end dates and the treatment of removed supply points need to be assessed together.
Fixed price, tranches, spot or a combination: your planning horizon, risk appetite and expected volumes are what matters. A comparison of the models is available on our strategy page.

If you have requirements concerning the origin or composition of the gas product, we define them with you before approaching the market.
What composition is offered, what proportion is guaranteed and what evidence is included? The term “green gas” alone is not enough for a reliable comparison of offers.
We clarify which documentation your internal requirements call for. Statements about origin, renewable content and offsetting should be separately traceable in the offer.
A gas supply product does not replace an assessment of your heating plans. Technical and legal requirements for modifications need separate review; procurement takes account of the resulting specifications.
On request, we assess biomethane, mass-balanced biomethane volumes and guarantees of origin as part of your gas procurement. What matters is the specific evidence trail, not the product label alone.
The offer must state transparently whether volumes are allocated physically, by mass balance through the gas grid, or through guarantees of origin.
We consider the production route, feedstocks, period, volume and registry and certification documentation. The cancellation of evidence must also match the agreed claim.
RED III and the EU Union Database strengthen the traceability of sustainable gases. In Germany, the Federal Environment Agency operates registers for guarantees of origin; the dena Biogasregister documents biomethane volumes and qualities in the gas grid.

Contract end dates, notice periods and the work needed to prepare data determine the lead time. Start discussions early if modifications or multiple owners are involved. There is no universally best month to buy.
Yes, provided authorisation and responsibilities are clear. Whether a joint tender or separate lots are more suitable depends on contract terms, volume structure and supplier offers. Larger volumes do not automatically guarantee a lower price.
That depends on the agreed volume provisions. Planned refurbishment or a change in heating system should therefore be considered before signing. Flexible volume arrangements need to be explicitly checked in the offer.
NeoBid is remunerated by the energy supplier awarded the contract. We assess the offers together; you decide whether to sign. We agree the scope and responsibilities of our support with you.
YOUR NEXT STEP
In our first meeting, we discuss your portfolio, upcoming contract deadlines and objectives. Together, we identify useful documents and next steps. You do not need a complete dataset to get started.
